DB48X runs on physical calculators from SwissMicros notably the DM42 and DM32.
You can get pre-built binaries for DB48X releases.
Recent releases contain two distinct sets of binaries, one called DB48X that is intended to run on the DM42, and one called DB50X that is intended to run on the slightly more powerful DM32. At the moment, these two variants are essentially identical, but it is expected that the project will some day reach a point where some features will have to be reserved to the DB50X variant for space reasons.
The firmware consists in two files, one ending in qspi.bin, which is contains mostly read-only data, and one ending in pgm or pg5, which is the main binary for the DB48X program.
